Where I practice
Hello and welcome to my Web page! As a pediatrician, I consider it a privilege to care for patients from infancy to adulthood. I look forward to working closely with you to provide exceptional care and to optimize your children's well-being. My goal is to always listen and truly hear your concerns, and then to work with you to address them in the best way possible. Forming meaningful relationships with my patients and their families is an aspect of my job that I value most.
I was born in Austin, TX and raised in a suburb of Houston called Sugar Land. I completed my undergraduate education at Duke University, where I majored in neuroscience and minored in biology. While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I was inspired through my experiences in several outreach and mentoring programs to pursue a career in pediatric medicine, as it involves two of my passions—working with children and giving back to the community. I earned my medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. While interviewing for residency, I fell in love with San Diego almost instantly. I was fortunate enough to be able to move to this wonderful city for my residency training (at UC San Diego), and have made San Diego my home ever since.
About my practice
My practice philosophy is centered on education, partnership, and preventive care to ensure the health and well-being of children into adulthood. I strive to provide the most comprehensive, family-centered care possible for your child, and I strongly believe in a collaborative approach to the doctor-patient relationship. I am reminded every day that medicine is not only a science, but also an art, as every child I see is unique and special in his or her own way. I am here to listen to your concerns and will strive to always, above all else, be your child's advocate. I genuinely care about my patients and their families and will do everything possible that's in keeping with your own beliefs about what constitutes a healthy lifestyle.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I am an avid sports fan. I enjoy playing all kinds of sports (especially basketball) and admittedly devote a lot of time and emotional energy to rooting for my favorite sports teams. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling around the world, and staying up to date on my favorite TV shows.
