About me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and members, and look forward to working with you to care for your health. I was in private practice in Las Vegas prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, and have now been here for over seven years. Having worked in our Podiatry and Orthopedics Department for several years, I’ve found Kaiser Permanente to be a great work environment. I enjoy being in a hospital setting where all treatment specialties work close together. I’ve found the quality of care here to be very high.

Biography

I lived in Salt Lake City for most of my life. At a very young age, I realized I wanted to be a physician. I did my undergraduate work at the University of Utah, went to medical school in San Francisco, and completed a three-year foot and ankle surgical residency in Phoenix, Arizona. I was able to do a medical mission in La Antigua, Guatemala, during my last year of residency to help those with no access to medical care. I’m currently board-certified in forefoot and rearfoot surgery. Podiatry is a great medical specialty because it involves many aspects of health care.

About my practice

Being a doctor brings me into contact with the innermost concerns of my members. It’s a privilege to help members translate their concerns about complex medical conditions and help them get them the appropriate evaluations. Communication with members and their families is an important part of my practice.

How I thrive

Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I currently play ice hockey—which is one way I can get some good exercise and have fun. I also enjoy mountaineering. I just completed a hike to the top of Mount Rainer in Washington. I also try to set aside time to just relax or read a good novel, and walk my dog.
