About me

Hello. Welcome to my Web page! I’m a family medicine physician at the Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center, in the Rosecrans Medical Office Building.

Biography

I’m a native Southern Californian who grew up as a Kaiser Permanente member. Even when I was a young child, I knew I wanted to be a doctor. It was a childhood dream that became reality with hard work and determination. I knew that my pursuit of medicine was a special calling. If you ask my parents, they’ll say they’re very proud of me. I not only chose to be a family medicine physician, but also pursued training in sports medicine. I received my medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. I then completed my internship, family medicine residency training, and fellowship in sports medicine at Harbor–UCLA Medical Center. I was formerly the lead physician of Downey Urgent Care, where I piloted the implementation of the proactive office encounter in urgent care. I was officially recognized by the Downey medical director in both 2012 and 2013. I developed a work flow for control of diabetes improvement. My improvement project was recognized at the 2014 Kaiser Permanente National Quality Conference. I was also awarded 2014 family physician of the year for Downey.

About my practice

I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy. Since my training is in sports medicine, my members tend to be very active, or want to be, and they seek my expertise. Our team is proactive in our approach to your health care. If you’re seen by our team you’ll be treated with compassion and receive excellent, comprehensive attention to your overall health.

How I thrive

Keeping balance in my life is important to me. My wife and kids are a very important part of my life and I live a very active lifestyle with them. I stay fit with daily swimming. On the weekends my wife and kids catch waves surfing. My current goal is to improve my time in triathlons, and become a master swimmer in the total immersion style.
