Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work at Kaiser Permanente.
I'm originally from Canada, and I have lived in San Diego for 27 years. My wife and I raised two daughters who are now grown. I moved to Los Angeles when I was 15 years old. I finished college in Los Angeles and then returned to the cold climate of Canada for medical school. My wife bought me a piano for our 20th anniversary, so I have been taking lessons for about nine years. I'm getting a little better, and I find music very relaxing after a hard day of working.
About my practice
I am a family medicine physician and have practiced for more than 25 years at the Kaiser Permanente Bonita Medical Offices. In 2007, I assumed the administration role of physician-in-charge. This allows me to continue my clinical practice and yet be directly involved in improving your experience at Bonita. I feel fortunate to be able to work at Kaiser Permanente, as a clinician and as an administrator who is working to make Kaiser Permanente one of the best health care delivery systems in the country. I want to be your partner in keeping you healthy. I can take better care of you when you take better care of yourself. I feel that healthy living and preventive care are good ways to keep yourself healthy, but I'm here for you if you should get sick.
How I thrive
It's important for all of us to take time for ourselves during our busy lives. I enjoy hiking and bicycling with my family. Another of my loves is reading, usually at night when it's quiet at home. During a hectic day at the office, I will often step away from my desk and go for a short walk outside.
