About me
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. It is my pleasure to share with you some information about my life and my practice. I believe that every member should be comfortable with their doctor and that every member deserves high-quality care. That’s why it’s such a privilege to be part of Kaiser Permanente
Biography
I was born right here in Los Angeles and grew up in sunny Orange County. After graduating from UC Berkeley with degrees in molecular and cell biology and economics, I came back for medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. I completed my residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Columbia and Cornell University where I had the opportunity to train at some of the nation’s top hospitals, including the Hospital for Special Surgery, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Seeking to further specialize my skills, I was accepted into the prestigious UCLA Craniofacial Surgery fellowship founded by world-renowned craniofacial surgeon Dr. Henry K. Kawamoto, Jr. I’ve stayed here in Los Angeles ever since, and it’s been great to be back home applying all that I’ve learned to improve the lives of my patients and advance the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
About my practice
I am a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who enjoys practicing across a broad spectrum of surgical cases. This includes treating members from all walks of life, whether young or old. I have a special interest in craniomaxillofacial operations such as facial feminization surgery, congenital facial reconstruction, facial trauma repair, cancer reconstruction, and other transformative facial procedures. However, I enjoy treating members from head to toe with a practice that includes general reconstructive surgery, microsurgery, breast reconstruction, body contouring, and aesthetic surgery. Additionally, I have a passion for clinical research, resident education, and international surgical missions.
How I thrive
I thrive by leading a balanced life, both in my career and in my personal life. I enjoy coming to work each day knowing that I can make a positive change in the lives of others. The scope of my practice brings new intellectual and technical challenges each day. Resident teaching and research interests keep me engaged and excited about the future of my specialty. At home, I look forward to spending time with my wife and kids. We play games, visit museums, lie on the beach, and enjoy good food. Playing basketball, strength training, and chasing my children around keep me physically and mentally in shape!
