I am a board-certified medical oncologist practicing at Kaiser Permanente’s Riverside Medical Center in the Hematology/Oncology Department. I am dedicated to providing compassionate care that is based on evidence and current research for individuals facing complex and serious medical conditions.
Biography
I completed medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. I completed my residency at St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center and graduated from Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 2008.
About my practice
Cancer Subspecialty Focus
My clinical expertise includes the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers, breast cancer, head and neck cancers, genitourinary cancers, skin cancers, lung cancer and thymoma, thyroid and endocrine tumors, and complex and malignant hematologic conditions, as well as benign hematologic disorders.
Collaboration on Multidisciplinary Teams
I actively serve on regional multidisciplinary teams consisting of experts in medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, pathology, and related specialties. Together, we collaborate to develop personalized treatment plans that are based on evidence and current research. This team-based approach helps ensure that members, especially those with gastrointestinal cancers, receive current and effective care aligned with national best practices.
Research and Clinical Trials Involvement
I am involved in several prestigious National Cancer Institute–supported oncology research networks, including the SWOG Cancer Research Network, National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP), Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, and NRG Oncology. As a sub-investigator on multiple clinical trials, I work to bring novel and promising therapies to our community. My research also focuses on cancer survivorship, with a goal of supporting long-term wellness, reducing complications, and minimizing the risk of recurrence.
Professional Affiliations
I am a proud member of multiple national oncology research networks and committees dedicated to advancing the standard of cancer care.
How I thrive
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and spending quality time with my family and friends. My favorite activities include running, swimming, playing tennis, and walking in the park with my family.
