About me
Welcome to my Web page. I am glad to have the chance to introduce myself to you and let you know a little bit more about me.
Biography
From a young age I heard the call to be a physician, and every step along my path has been with this goal in mind. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. While attending the University of San Francisco for college, and for a few years after, I worked in a laboratory at UC San Francisco. As hard as it was to leave my family and the culture in San Francisco, my journey brought me to medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Southern California. While there I found my joy and passion for family medicine. I completed my training in the Kaiser Permanente Orange County Family Medicine Residency Program, and have stayed here ever since.
About my practice
My goal is to help improve the health and well-being of each of the patients that I care for. I place a large emphasis on preventive care and try to use every opportunity to encourage healthy lifestyle choices and increased physical activity, as I strongly believe that this can lead to disease prevention. This allows my patients to be active participants in their health.
How I thrive
I cannot help others stay healthy if I am not healthy myself, so I keep active, spend time with my family, and participate in my church to keep me balanced. I love exercise both indoors and out. My hobbies include cooking, gardening, and traveling. My husband and I are blessed to have seen so much of the world through our travels.
