Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page.
I was born in Vietnam; my family came to the United States when I was still young. As a result, I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area with a good mix of cultures, and was able to retain some of my heritage while absorbing life around me. After growing up in the Bay Area and having much of my schooling there as well, I made a departure to the East Coast and attended Temple University in Philadelphia for medical school, where I was able to broaden my cultural experience even more. There definitely are tangible differences and experiences to be had with both coasts. Although I enjoyed my time on the East Coast greatly and do miss it, I found my way to Southern California where I completed my residency at USC Medical Center. I now call Southern California home.
About my practice
Following residency, I continued to practice as a physician at USC Medical Center and much enjoyed working with not only the clinical and hospital staff, but also the residents in training. There I was able to not only provide patient care directly but also through teaching, guiding, and mentoring our residents, which was very rewarding. I then landed here at Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center, where I truly enjoy my wonderful colleagues and members.
How I thrive
My astrological sign is Libra, which represents balance. I believe this makes it easier to go through the rough and tumble things that life tends to throw into my path. When one aspect of my life, be it work or family, seems out of balance, I seek out another activity which will help relieve and refocus my attention, such as exercise, which tends to keep things in line. This does not always work, but such is life and part of the process and journey of living it.
