Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you a little about my education, my practice, and myself. I feel privileged to be at Kaiser Permanente and to be able to care for our members and work with my wonderful colleagues. It’d be a pleasure to take of you, too.
After completing high school in my native India, I came to the United States to attend college. I studied at the University of Oklahoma. Medicine was a natural choice for me as it combined my love to care for and be there for people when they’re at their most vulnerable while also including my interest in the biological sciences for diagnosing and treating complex medical conditions. After completing medical school, I went on to do my residency in internal medicine at Columbia University in New York City. I joined a multi-specialty group practice in New Orleans while my husband completed his medical fellowship training at Tulane University. We both wanted to work for Kaiser Permanente, so we moved to Los Angeles several years ago.
About my practice
As a hospitalist, I take care of acutely ill members who are admitted to the hospital for care. I work closely with their primary care providers to provide the best care possible. Being a doctor allows people to share their concerns and hopes with me. It’s a privilege to explain in clear terms what they may not fully understand and help them receive the appropriate evaluations and treatment. I’m honored by their trust in me for their care, and I strive to treat them as I would my own family.
How I thrive
Eating healthily, playing sports with my kids, gardening, reading, spending time with my family and friends are some of the things I do to keep me thriving in mind, body, and spirit.
