Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself.
Although born in New Jersey, I consider myself to be from the Southern California area. After graduating from Tustin High School, I went to college at Yale. I was then accepted by the Teach For America program and had the privilege of teaching at Lynwood High School here in Southern California. I have maintained an affiliation with the UCLA School of Medicine. I am an assistant clinical professor of medicine, which gives me the distinct pleasure of guiding medical students on the path to becoming compassionate physicians.
About my practice
I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your health. Healthy living and preventive care are two of the best ways to accomplish that. When I was a high school teacher, I not only taught chemistry and physical science, but I also had the opportunity to coach baseball. The role of a physician is similar to that of a teacher and coach: every day I strive to instruct and guide members in their health.
How I thrive
I try to exercise daily, and this can range from walking to work to 20 mile runs. I have experienced the thrill of finishing marathons, hiking to the top of Mt. Whitney, and the satisfaction that comes from a good book. I am an avid fan of live music, enjoy college athletics, and am always amazed by live theater. I enjoy travel, but am always happy to be home. I am fascinated by the diversity of Los Angeles and am always working to make it a better, cleaner and healthier place. I recycle and am not afraid to pick up trash!
