Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am a vascular and interventional radiologist. We are a relatively new field in medicine and provide many types of minimally invasive treatments.
I grew up in Florida and trained at University of Miami for medical school, followed by an internship in internal medicine at the University of Chicago and continued on to do Radiology at University of Chicago. I came to UCLA to complete a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology. I came to Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center immediately after fellowship and currently run the training programs in vascular and interventional radiology and radiology. I have a young daughter who keeps me busy once I am at home and enjoy spending any free time playing with her.
About my practice
My passion is vascular disease and cancer treatments. We have a great degree of experience at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles in the treatment of complex vascular disease (aneurysmal disease) with a collaborative multi-disciplinary approach that involves numerous specialists including vascular surgery, cardiac surgery, cardiac anesthesia, cardiology, neuro-interventional services, stroke neurologists, and vascular and interventional radiology. We also treat many oncologic conditions in a minimally invasive fashion and have expertise with the treatment of liver disease, including image-guided ablations and trans-arterial chemoembolization. I am very proud to work with my colleagues in this department.
How I thrive
I go to the gym regularly and I try to eat a well balanced diet (although just like everyone else, I have my good days and bad days). I also enjoy teaching others (whether it be patients, family or colleagues) about diet and exercise.
