About me
Hello! Thank you for letting me introduce myself and help you decide on the best fit for a pediatrician for your children.
Biography
I was born in Los Angeles as a “Kaiser baby” but then moved to Barstow, California, where I grew up in that sleepy desert town. I then left for college in Northern California where I studied biological sciences, then to medical school in Washington, DC. I missed sunny Southern California and ended up training in the same hospital I had been born in many decades earlier. I completed my residency at Kaiser Permanente’s Los Angeles Medical Center in 2008. Since then I have worked at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, the South Bay, and now for the past 11 years in Orange County. I am a wife and mother of 3 busy and energetic boys. In my free time, I love to work out, hike, walk our Boston terrier, and just spend time with my family. I love balancing being a pediatrician and also being present as a mom and wife.
About my practice
It's a privilege to be able to help young parents and families thrive by preventing illness, reassuring parents, and also caring for kids when they are sick or need extra care. It is so rewarding for me to become a part your kids' and families’ lives and make a difference. I believe strongly that the way we take care of our health when we are young follows us the rest of our lives, and that healthy habits start early in life. I believe, even for children, in balancing work and play and in eating healthy but still having treats. I try to lead by example in how I live and also how I raise my kids. I share my mistakes in parenting with members so they can learn from them as well.
How I thrive
It's my goal to exercise most days of the week. Mostly I do it in my home gym, but sometimes it's an active day like hiking with my family or going to the beach. I love healthy food that also tastes fantastic, but I must admit that I do have a sweet tooth! I love how I feel after a good workout and fueling my body with healthy foods. I also attend church regularly and volunteer there when I can.
