Where I practice
Hi, and welcome to my Web page. Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself, and share a bit about my family medicine practice.
I was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, and moved to sunny Southern California with my family when I was not quite two years old. I attended the University of California, Riverside to obtain my bachelor's degree, and then earned my master's degree in public health from Loma Linda University. After working in public health for several years in San Diego, I decided to return to Loma Linda University to pursue my medical degree followed by a residency in family medicine. I wanted to help people on an individual basis to not only prevent illness, but also treat disease. Keeping a work-life balance is very important to me, and family life is my top priority. I met my lovely wife in graduate school. We have one son and a dog.
About my practice
My philosophy is to treat the whole person. As a family physician, I have the special responsibility of helping patients stay healthy through all phases of life. It is a privilege to care for my patients, and I strive to partner with them in a process of lifelong learning to achieve optimal health. I believe wise lifestyle choices play a large role in prevention of disease, and are an important way to thrive and stay healthy.
How I thrive
I enjoy time with family and friends. We go on road trips, camp, and visit museums and zoos. To stay fit, I join leagues to play basketball and tennis. I’m also an avid reader, and always look forward to a good book.
