Where I practice
Hello my dear members. Welcome to my Web page! I am very happy to have this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues, staff, and our members, and look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I am originally from L.A., but lived half of my life in Guadalajara, Mexico, where I attended medical school. I trained in internal medicine in Chicago at Cook County Hospital. Why did I become a physician? Since I was a kid, I knew and more importantly felt in my heart that I wanted to become a physician. I feel that health is the most precious thing one can ever have, and unfortunately most of us take it for granted. What is life without health? We become aware of the importance of health when we are sick and face the journey of finding a physician whom we can trust and rely on; a physician who listens to us, not the disease; a physician who is there for us in our time of need. I want to be that physician for you.
About my practice
I am a true believer in preventive medicine and healthy living. Why wait to be treated for something that could have been prevented to begin with? I like to inform members about the screening strategies available for different diseases and encourage them to live a healthy lifestyle in terms of exercise and diet. Sometimes a slight change in lifestyle makes a huge positive impact on our health.
How I thrive
I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente’s philosophy of health in mind, body, and spirit and try to live it in my life every day. My family life is my major priority. I enjoy family outings and gatherings very much. I exercise almost every day at the gym doing weight lifting and cardio workouts. I also enjoy bike riding. It is always healthy to set some time aside to relax and meditate or have a hobby. I enjoy playing the guitar.
