Where I practice
Hello, and thank you for visiting my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you.
I was born in Korea, but grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I speak fluent Spanish and Korean. When I was in kindergarten somebody asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said “A doctor!” I graduated from medical school with honors in 1998, completed my Ob/Gyn residency in Buenos Aires, and decided to continue my training. I spent one year as a research visiting fellow at the Cornell Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility (affiliated with New York Presbyterian Hospital), and an additional four years of Ob/Gyn residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. I recently joined Kaiser Permanente after six years in private practice in Palm Springs and Upland, where I provided my patients with full-scope obstetrics and gynecology care. The opportunity to work within an integrated health system with an emphasis on preventive care is one of the reasons I came to Kaiser Permanente.
About my practice
I value working with women through all phases in their lives, from young adulthood, during and after pregnancy, during the midlife transition, and afterwards through menopause. I enjoy the broad range of a general practice in Ob/Gyn, including office gynecology, pregnancy, and a hospital practice performing deliveries, surgeries and consultations. At Kaiser Permanente, our team approach to care allows our physicians and staff to work together in a wonderful environment. I believe that each patient is unique and deserves the highest-quality care for their individual needs. I strive to treat each of my patients the way I want my family to be treated. Sharing similar life experiences is one of my favorite ways to connect. I know visits to the doctor can be very stressful, but I hope I can provide you with excellent care!
How I thrive
The most important ingredient for staying healthy is to maintain a positive outlook and laugh. Exercise, eat well, and try to focus on the positive. I have a beautiful little daughter and she is my inspiration. She says she wants to "catch babies" when she grows up like mommy and daddy. Since I was a teenager I’ve been able to cultivate my love of travel, and I still try to travel as much as I can. I love the incredible diversity in this city. To relax and recharge, I enjoy swimming and Zumba.
