Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy that through this page I can introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente with my wonderful colleagues and our members, and I look forward to working with you as well.
I grew up in Northern California, where my father was a family physician. After medical school, I came to Southern California to complete my medical training and decided to settle here. I enjoy living in the South Bay area, helping to keep its residents healthy.
About my practice
My practice consists of a 50/50 mix of family and sports medicine. All of my morning clinics are for the patients who choose me as their family physician, and all of my afternoons are sports medicine clinics open to all patients. Sports medicine provides me the opportunity to connect with active adults, teens, and children in the community. I am an associate clinical professor at UCLA, and the founder and director of a sports medicine training program, which allows me to educate young physicians with an interest in the field. My sports medicine team and I provide medical coverage for sporting events at several local high schools and colleges, as well as many community events like the Redondo Beach Super Bowl 5K/10K and several local triathlons. I am very proud to have received multiple awards for volunteer community service for these efforts.
How I thrive
I stay well by being active. I enjoy backpacking, tennis, golf, bowling, gardening, home remodeling, and model building. I am a Boy Scout leader, and I am the Chief Medical Officer for the Los Angeles Area Council, Boys Scouts of America. I try to exercise as much as time will allow, but I most enjoy spending time with my family.
