Where I practice
Welcome! I am Dr. Esther Kwon, and I am glad to have this opportunity to present not only my credentials but also a little bit about myself. As your personal physician, my priority is to make you feel comfortable communicating your questions, needs, and concerns.
I was raised all over Southern California but traveled far and wide to continue my education. Most recently, I completed a geriatrics fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where I focused on preventing and managing delirium, especially in the elderly population. I was very involved in the Geriatric Inpatient Fracture Service to decrease postoperative complications and reduce patients’ length of stay at the hospital. I am eager to apply my knowledge and experience in this area here at Kaiser Permanente.
About my practice
Dealing with illness is a challenging feat—not only for the patient but also for his or her family members and caregivers. But I am a firm believer in equipping members with the right knowledge and tools and empowering them to take charge of their disease, rather than letting the disease take charge of them. So you can expect to have an open dialogue and a working relationship with me throughout your stay at Kaiser Permanente.
How I thrive
In my free time, I love seeking out different cuisines with family and friends. Food always seems to bring people together, and I am a fan of sharing laughter and stories with loved ones.
