About me

Welcome! I hope that learning a bit more about me will help you in your search for a medical doctor who meets your healthcare needs. I certainly believe that medicine is a partnership between you, your child, and your physician. I would be honored to be a part of that process.

Biography

I hail mostly from Northern Virginia. I graduated college summa cum laude at the Virginia Commonwealth University. Afterward, I chose to join an AmeriCorps program, spending a year teaching elementary school kids in San Jose, California. I then moved up to San Francisco for an internship with UC San Francisco working for at-risk LGBT communities. Throughout my time in the Bay Area, I developed a working appreciation of the long-term impact one can have on children and adolescents. It is this mind-set that took me to medical school and residency back in Virginia, and it still drives me today. Medical training made me realize how vital family can be for a person’s well-being. Over the years, a lot of my own family settled around Los Angeles County, and I wanted to be closer to them. Furthermore, I wanted to serve the diverse communities that make Southern California a remarkable place to live and grow. So I am extremely excited to be a full-time pediatrician at the Kaiser Permanente’s Baldwin Park Medical Center.

About my practice

Medicine is a partnership, so let us sit down, hash out our thoughts, and come up with healthy game plans. Professionally, there is nothing more thrilling for me than seeing my members reach the goals they set for themselves. I particularly enjoy working with teenagers and adolescents. While it can be a turbulent time in one’s life, it also can be a time of amazing personal growth. All in all, I humbly hope that I can use my skills as a physician to act as your companion and coach toward helping you become your best self, in whatever form or state that may be.

How I thrive

I consider myself a bit of a nomad at heart. I love exploring places I have never seen before. Even something as simple as checking out a new coffee shop gives me a lot of joy. Family and community have also become integral parts of my happiness. While I very much enjoy just cracking open a good book over an iced latte, I put special energy in spending time with the relatives and friends who matter to me. I’m all about going on hikes, getting lost around a city, and learning how to cook new dishes, and having others to share that experience with makes it all the more enjoyable.
