Ene Georgina George, MD
I speak: English
My gender: Female
Where I practice
I am Dr. Ene George and work with the division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center. I am sometimes referred to as a urogynecologist, which means I specialize in female urinary and pelvic floor conditions. However, my specialty encompasses much more than that, overlapping with bowel issues and pelvic pain.
I attended the University of Jos Medical School in the scenic Plateaus of Nigeria, and had my residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Wright State University Medical School in Dayton, OH. After a few years as a practicing Ob/Gyn, I moved to Southern California and completed my fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at UC Irvine.
About my practice
Female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery is an ever-evolving and exciting field of women's health care, and can involve complex issues and situations. I believe in approaching female pelvic health from a holistic angle, and also empowering my patients with the knowledge and assistance they require to help me help them. Our division at Baldwin Park Medical Center believes strongly in a collaborative approach and so we work closely with other subspecialties involved with women's health, especially urology and colorectal surgery.
How I thrive
I love my job and am dedicated to what I do. The opportunity to meaningfully enhance the quality of life is a privilege and maintaining a balanced work life ratio makes me a better physician. I love to run as often as I can and have two lovely dogs to run with me. I also enjoy reading, biking, travelling the back roads of America, and discovering new places when I can.
