Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2007. I’m a board-certified Ob/Gyn, and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. I’m also certified by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology (COEMIG) surgeon.
I’m a native of Wichita, Kansas. Growing up, I was exposed to the arts as well as science and medicine. I seek excellence in whatever I pursue. Throughout school and part of college, my passion was dance, and I eventually was selected as a principal dancer with the Metropolitan Ballet of Wichita. As I matured, I began to see women's health and the psychological aspects of reproductive health as a means through which I could contribute to the world. Therefore, I chose pre-med as my major at Wichita State University and began my medical journey. I completed medical school in Chicago, and my residency training in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City.
About my practice
As a Kaiser Permanente physician, I’m privileged to work with other physicians who have mastered the finer points of Ob/Gyn and gained proficiency in emerging surgical techniques. Our facility was designated as a Center of Excellence for our member safety and high-quality care. My nurses and I have a close working relationship to help coordinate and optimize my members' care. I provide general Ob/Gyn services, with special expertise in family planning, office hysteroscopy, and minimally invasive laparoscopic and vaginal surgery. In my practice, I listen closely to the concerns of my members—because tests and measurements only go so far in explaining what’s happening with a member. The physician-member relationship is very important in achieving optimal outcomes.
How I thrive
I’m fortunate to have a satisfying and fulfilling home life. I exercise daily and try to avoid overeating. I also enjoy hiking and dancing. I volunteer with nonprofit organizations supporting community health and women's reproductive health. I enjoy visiting national parks, exploring places that are off the beaten path, and spending time with friends and family.
