Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I'm pleased to share some information with you that may help you get to know me. I look forward to helping you with your healthcare if you need to see an endocrinologist.
I grew up in New England and completed medical school and my internal medicine residency in Rhode Island and New York. After working as an internal medicine specialist for 5 years, including 2 in the public health service in rural New York, I decided to specialize in my favorite area of medicine: endocrinology. I moved to California for specialty training in endocrinology in 1986 and joined the Kaiser Permanente staff in 1989.
Medicine as a career is an opportunity to connect with people in a special way. Being a doctor brings me into contact with the innermost concerns of members. By sharing my experience and the evidence of medical research with members, I strive to help them make their own decisions about their medical care options and their lives.
Maintaining balance is very important. I try to dedicate time each day to exercise. In addition, I try to reserve some additional time for my special interests and hobbies, which include playing music and scuba diving. Of course, I also enjoy walking my dog, visiting with my family and friends, or just reading a good book.
