Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work as a physician at Kaiser Permanente and my practice in ophthalmology. I am a vitreo-retinal surgeon, which means I take care of diseases of the eye that affect the vitreous and retina.
I was raised in South Pasadena. As a child, I was a Kaiser Permanente member and got my care at Los Angeles Medical Center. After medical school in Texas and specialty training at Harvard and the National Institutes of Health, I returned to Southern California to practice at Kaiser Permanente. I perform surgery on the eye and have been in practice for more than 25 years. I have co-authored three books, and I am a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Retina Society, and the Macula Society. I am married and have three children. We have two cats.
About my practice
My approach is to provide you with quality eye care with a personal touch. I am honored that patients have entrusted me with their care. I treat all my patients as partners in health to make sure that they get the care they need in a professional manner.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I am a runner, biker, and swimmer, and I competed in the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Triathlon. I also make it a priority to spend time with my family. In between all that, I do enjoy reading good novels.
