About me
Welcome to my Web page! Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit more about me. I feel fortunate to help guide members as they navigate their own health and wellness. I enjoy my profession as it allows me to develop long-lasting relationships with patients that are built on values of mutual respect.
Biography
I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. For my undergraduate education, I did not venture far and attended UC Berkeley. There I had the time to rediscover my South Asian heritage and culture and delve into the world of economics and consulting, as well as educate myself about the intricacies of computer science. However, when it came time to graduate, I stuck with my childhood aspirations of a career in medicine. I moved to Chicago, where I earned my MD at the Chicago Medical School of Rosalind Franklin University. I continued my education in Chicago by completing my residency training there.
About my practice
I have always viewed my role as a family medicine physician to be a guide for members and to promote their wellness. Ultimately, I want all of your decisions about your health to be your own. I hope to use my knowledge base and medical education to help you make well-informed choices for your health. I am privileged that members entrust me with their health, and I strive to treat each of them as I would my own family. As a family medicine board-certified physician, I enjoy caring for all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. Specifically I enjoy helping members reduce their risk for a variety of conditions by working with them on their weight loss goals. I also am trained in interventional pain management for joints and superficial skin procedures.
How I thrive
My medical practice is rooted in my own personal experience. When I was starting my medical education, I went through a life-changing experience by losing 75 pounds in the span of 9 months. I was able to achieve this by making major changes in my diet and learning to cook. I now find spending time in the kitchen to be therapeutic, and experimenting with recipes has become one of my favorite hobbies. Moreover, my lovable corgi also enjoys hanging around in the kitchen with me in hopes of sneaking away any treats!
