Where I practice
Thank you for visiting my Web page. I am grateful for the opportunity to become a part of your health care team. I hope this page provides you with the information you need while looking for a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician.
I am board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and received my medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. After completing a transitional internship year at Long Beach Pacific Hospital, I trained at the UCLA/West Los Angeles Veterans Administration program; there I helped teach UCLA medical students musculoskeletal medicine. I am still actively involved with research at UCLA. My primary interests are musculoskeletal medicine, sports medicine, pain medicine, and electrodiagnostic medicine.
About my practice
I am an osteopathic physician (DO). This allows me to practice not only the same cutting edge medicine that medical doctors practice, but also to have a better understanding on how to treat patients more holistically, rather than just specific illnesses and symptoms. As part of my training in medical school and residency, I received extra instruction on the musculoskeletal system. My goal is to combine traditional and complementary alternative medicine options to facilitate individuals reaching their own functional goals to achieve their fullest potential. My osteopathic medical approach to physical medicine and rehabilitation is based on the premise that the primary role of the physician is to facilitate the body's inherent ability to heal itself.
How I thrive
I try to maintain balance in my life by exercising, meditating, getting back to nature, playing guitar, and by spending time with my family. My favorite forms of exercise are jogging, cycling, and hiking.
