Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I'm glad to have this opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It's extremely important that you feel comfortable with the physician that provides care for family members with special needs. I hope this page will help you start to get to know me and my practice.
I grew up in Orange County. I received undergraduate degrees in biology and psychology, as well as my medical degree at UC Irvine. I've wanted to be a physician since childhood when my father had a stroke and his life depended on the skill and compassion of physicians and other medical professionals. I'm married, and I have an adult son with autism. I'm active in the autism community in Orange County.
About my practice
I perform medical consultations for children and young adults who have suspected developmental delays. I provide medical care and medication management for children and adults affected by autism and other developmental disorders. I also teach residents in our family medicine residency program.
I am a provider that is knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs of members with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
How I thrive
I believe that balance is essential for a happy and healthy body and mind. I exercise regularly on the treadmill and try to eat healthy foods. I make spending time with family and friends a priority. When time permits, I like to curl up on the couch and take a nap with my dog. I enjoy photography, cooking, traveling, and listening to the blues.
