Kaiser Permanente physician
My gender: Male
Accepting new patients.
Welcome! I am excited and proud to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente team as a family medicine physician with a subspecialty in sports medicine. My colleagues and I are committed to providing you and your family with personalized, high-quality health care.
I am a native of Seattle, Washington, but spent my formative years in Europe. Upon returning to the beautiful Pacific Northwest, I was fortunate enough to have received my medical school training close to home at the University of Washington. After residency, I was selected to participate in a Kaiser Permanente sports medicine fellowship located here in Southern California. My lifelong passion for athletics and fitness has provided me with wonderful opportunities to serve my community. Currently, I am a team doctor for the College of the Canyons football team in Santa Clarita. My wife and I enjoy music, new travel adventures, and international cuisine, but most of all we value our three young children, our family, and extended network of friends.
My unique upbringing abroad has been a major influence on my practice style. It has allowed me to celebrate diversity and speak the global language of good health. It is my privilege to serve as a primary care physician to a diverse group of members and provide them with compassionate care. Another part of my practice is spent in the urgent care clinic at our Kaiser Permanente Santa Clarita Medical Offices. I enjoy my role there; I am exposed to a wide variety of challenging health issues affecting members of all ages. I also conduct weekly sports medicine clinics, where I treat members with a unique set of orthopedic issues and injuries.
I am a strong believer in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of living a healthy lifestyle. As a doctor, I like to set a good example for my members to follow. As a former college basketball player, I was inspired to join the Kaiser Permanente Basketball League and helped my team win three league championships. In recent years I have trained and competed in a variety of triathlons. For the past five years, my wife and I have volunteered to be part of the medical staff at the original Ironman competition in Kona, Hawaii. I have also participated as both an athlete and a physician in the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Triathlon. I encourage all my members to incorporate activity into their busy lives.
