About me

Welcome! I am Dr. Lee.

I'm glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you get to know me.

Biography

I was born in Taiwan and moved to the United States at an early age. Growing up in Irvine, I developed an appreciation for the diverse communities and opportunities that shaped my early life. I later moved to San Diego to attend San Diego State University, where I quickly fell in love with the city and its unique sense of community.

After completing my residency training in Glendale, I knew that I wanted to return to San Diego to build my medical practice and make the community my home. That goal brought me back to the area, and I have been proud to call San Marcos home ever since.

Beyond practicing medicine, I believe that being a physician means being an active and engaged member of the community. I regularly volunteer with various organizations throughout San Diego County and value every opportunity to give back to the community that has given me so much.

It is a privilege to care for members in the community I call home. I strive to provide compassionate, thoughtful, and personalized care while building lasting relationships with members and their families. I look forward to serving the San Diego community for many years to come.

About my practice

I believe that high-quality medical care begins with a genuine relationship between a physician and a member. I strive to treat every member the way I would treat my own family and friends — with compassion, respect, honesty, and care.

Because I live in the community I serve, I see members not simply as people I care for in my office, but as my neighbors and members of the community we share. I am grateful for the trust that they place in me and take that responsibility seriously.

One of the most important parts of my practice is active listening. I want members to feel heard and understood. Taking the time to listen carefully to their concerns, questions, and goals allows me to better understand the whole person and not just the medical condition.

I also believe that honesty and straightforward communication are essential to building trust. I will always strive to communicate openly with members, explain their medical conditions and treatment options clearly, and help them make informed decisions about their health.

Ultimately, my goal is to provide the kind of care I would want for the people closest to me: thoughtful, compassionate, honest, and personal. It is a privilege to care for my neighbors and to be part of their health journey.

How I thrive

I believe that maintaining balance in life is an important part of being the best physician, parent, and member of the community I can be. For me, that means staying focused on the people and activities that matter most.

My 2 daughters are the joy and pride of my life. Much of my time away from medicine is dedicated to supporting them as they discover their interests, pursue their passions, and grow into independent, confident, and strong young women. Being present for them and watching them grow is one of the greatest privileges of my life.

I also enjoy being actively involved in the community I call home. Volunteering at local organizations and participating in cultural festivals give me an opportunity to connect with my neighbors, learn from others, and give back to the community that has become such an important part of my life.

And when I am not spending time with my family or volunteering, you can often find me cheering from the stands. I am a big fan of collegiate sports and professional soccer, and I enjoy the energy and camaraderie that come with being a fan. So, don't be surprised if you happen to see me at a San Diego State basketball or football game — or supporting San Diego FC at a soccer match!

For me, maintaining a healthy life balance is about making time for family, community, and the things that bring me joy. I believe those experiences not only enrich my life outside of medicine but also help me bring greater perspective, energy, and compassion to my work as a physician.
