Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I have been a Kaiser Permanente physician since 1995, serving our members in the Inland Empire. I currently work at both the Fontana and Riverside medical centers.
I was born in South Korea. I was just 5 years old when I came to the United States. I come from an extended family that has many physicians, including my father, two uncles, and several cousins. I greatly enjoy caring for members and making a difference in their lives. Although my wife and I grew up in the northeast United States, we have made Southern California our home since 1995. We have five children, one of whom is adopted.
About my practice
I am a Mohs micrographic surgeon. This is a specialized surgical technique for removing skin cancers from cosmetically sensitive areas like the face in a way that preserves as much of the normal skin as possible. Cure rates for the most common type of skin cancer, basal cell carcinoma, can be greater than 99 percent using this technique.
How I thrive
As you can imagine, with five children family life is very important to me. I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because it offers me the opportunity to balance my work and family lives. Other than running around after the children and participating in their activities, I enjoy watching films and being active in my church. I keep myself healthy by running three times a week. I’ve completed several half-marathon races.
