Where I practice
Welcome. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and to tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work with many wonderful colleagues and members, and I look forward to working with you and your children to help maximize your child's health and well-being.
I grew up in Central Oregon and have had the unique opportunity to live, attend school, and work in many different parts of the country and several places internationally, including Rota, Spain and the island of Guam. I come from a large family, and they are scattered along the West Coast, so this is where I feel most at home. I spent four years in the United States Navy as a General Medical Officer, working with a Seabee Unit and on a Naval Air Station. This time in the Navy proved to be one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences that I have ever had.
About my practice
Being a physician, especially for children, is a special privilege. My patients not only challenge me every day, but they also make me laugh and help me see the lighter side of life. Teaching children about the foundations of good health, including regular exercise, balanced nutrition, good water intake, and getting plenty of sleep, is probably one of the most important parts of my job.
How I thrive
While medicine is a special part of my life, keeping a balance of time spent with family and friends and pursuing some of my other interests is very important to me. I am an avid runner and love most outdoor sports, including water-skiing and hiking. Being near the ocean is a favorite way to spend my time. Travel is also incredibly enjoyable and educational for me.
