I am glad to have the opportunity to share my philosophy and goals with you as well as a bit of information about myself. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me. Let’s work together and begin solving your upper extremity problems.
I am a native Southern Californian who grew up in Yorba Linda. I attended UC Irvine, where I decided to pursue a career in medicine. I was also a collegiate cross country and track and field athlete. I attended the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and enjoyed 10 years in the frozen tundra. I returned to Riverside to be close to family. I joined a private practice orthopedic group for five years and cared for injuries related to sports, trauma, workers’ compensation, and hand and upper extremity conditions. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2011. I am excited to be practicing medicine in an environment that provides health care through a team approach.
As an orthopedic surgeon, I am committed to providing high-quality care with the most recent techniques. Each of my patients is a unique individual, and I strive to provide each of them with personalized care and attention. I specialize in the upper extremity, which includes problems of the hand, elbow, and shoulder. I treat conditions ranging from carpal tunnel syndrome to degenerative joint disease that requires joint replacement surgery. This includes many commonly performed outpatient hand/elbow and shoulder procedures.
I live well by maintaining a healthy life balance with my wife and two children. We enjoy traveling and maintaining an energetic lifestyle. I still enjoy running and have participated in the Los Angeles Marathon. I relax with music and playing the piano and guitar. I enjoy a periodic round of golf. In my spare time, I coach and encourage my children in their sports and school-related activities.
