About me

Welcome to my Web page!

I have practiced medicine about 10 plus years, in both Nepal and the United States. I am very happy and privileged to collaborate with Kaiser Permanente’s fellow physicians as part of our team approach to healthcare. I am happy to align with the Kaiser Permanente mission in providing high-quality, affordable health care, prioritizing member-centered care, and fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.

Biography

I am originally from Nepal, a Himalayan country that is small but full of diverse culture.

Besides providing medical care in underserved areas of Nepal. I also worked in a mission hospital that took care of people affected with leprosy (Hansen’s disease). My personal and medical journey has been unique and rewarding for me because of my experience in diverse socioeconomic cultural and resource limited settings.

I was able to advance my education and obtain a master’s  degree in health information management in the United States, in addition to my residency training.

I have also worked as an extensivist in one of the private medical groups in Pennsylvania for 2 years. I live with my family and 2 kids in Southern California and love the sunny weather here.

About my practice

I value medicine that includes evaluation of physical, mental, emotional, and social needs and making recommendations based on the available guidelines and on evidence and current research. I believe that the doctor-member relationship is sacred.

I believe in member education and enabling and empowering members to make the right medical choices. Ultimately, the decisions we make should be able to positively impact the overall health of members.

I value the important contributions of nurses, clinical educators, and other physician colleagues, who work together as a team to provide comprehensive high-quality care for all our members.

How I thrive

In leisure time, I like to spend time gardening, watching sports, travelling with my family, and listening to music.
