About me
Welcome! It is my hope that members feel comfortable and safe with their chosen primary care physician. It is important to find the right fit, so I hope this page helps you get to know me a little better.
Biography
I was born and raised in Long Beach. I’ve always loved the city’s diverse and vibrant community, and after training I was drawn back to serve the community that raised me. Also, I can’t complain about getting to see the ocean on a regular basis! My younger siblings had health issues as infants, and after watching my parents interact with the medical field during these difficult times, I knew early on that I wanted to go into healthcare. During my time at Cal State Long Beach (Go, Beach!), I decided to go down the medical school path. I chose family medicine because I like the variety it provides.
About my practice
I believe that primary care should be holistic and that we should look at how different aspects of our lives will play a role in our health. We should consider how our prescribed care will interact with your day-to-day life. Primary care should not just be about when you are sick, but it should also emphasize preventive care and sustainable healthy habits. Teamwork is vital for the member-doctor relationship. I want us to work together to tailor a plan that will help you reach your health goals. Not every problem has a quick fix, so I want you to leave our office knowing that you were supported and may be a step closer to where you want to be. From newborns to adults, I want to take care of any members of the family. I have a special interest in reproductive/women’s health and minor outpatient procedures. Open communication about these topics is important to me, and I am happy to engage in these conversations with you.
How I thrive
I am the oldest of 4 children and am part of an even bigger extended family, so I thrive by taking time for my family and friends. For fun, I also enjoy crafts, music, taking care of my plants, and trying new foods. Wellness looks different for everyone, but it should include caring for your physical, emotional, and mental health. Wellness is finding joy and balance not only in the things I want to do but also in the things I “have to do.” For me, that means planning memorable travel adventures with my husband, and also savoring the little things each day such as enjoying the sunny weather or having a nice cup of coffee.

All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business.
