About me
I have been a practicing neurologist since 2006, and I am as enthusiastic to help members now as ever. It is an exciting time for neurology, and many conditions that had few or no great treatments are now better managed than they were when I first began my training. I hope to gain your trust to help you find the right treatment options that you may be comfortable with. I vow to always put members first.
Biography
After undergraduate schooling at UC San Diego, I took some time to find out what I wanted to do. I decided on medicine and went to Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and graduated in 2001. I began my internship in medicine at the famed Boston City Hospital where I learned more than I could imagine. I then moved on to New York City and did my residency training at the Neurological Institute at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. After getting married in NYC, my wife and I moved to Providence, Rhode Island, and I finished my fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Brown University. We went to New Jersey where I worked at Englewood Hospital, became a partner at Bergen Neurology Consultants, and taught as an assistant professor at Columbia University. Returning to Southern California in 2014, I started a private practice in the San Fernando Valley before moving over to Kaiser Permanente’s West Los Angeles Medical Center. I also served as stroke directors at Englewood Hospital and at Providence Cedar Sinai Medical Center.
About my practice
I am a general neurologist with expertise in all aspects of neurological care and with special training and interest in seizures, neuromuscular disease, neuro-vascular problems and strokes, and headache disorders.
How I thrive
Outside of medicine, my focus is my family. Being a father, husband, brother, and son are tremendously important to me. I read everything and every day, and my loves are drawing, photography, and tennis. I don’t believe in negativity and believe we are blessed to have today. Hence, I have a mind-set that there is no such thing as a “bad day.” Every day is a gift and must be cherished and enjoyed, and I use that motto to help members.
