About me
Welcome to my Web page. I’ve been a Kaiser Permanente primary care physician since 1995. My practice here began right after I completed my residency at UC San Diego. I’m proud to be part of this wonderful, culturally diverse, and dynamic group of physicians who always maintain a passion for improving member care.
Biography
I grew up in a multicultural environment even before I came to the United States. I was born in Germany, moved to Iran, and then went back to Germany to complete my middle and high school in Munich. I speak German and some Farsi, but prefer to speak English with my members. I’m the only physician in my immediate family, but I’ve been fascinated since childhood by how the human body functions. Later, it became even more interesting to study the irregularities of these functions. And since I had a passion for making people who are suffering feel better and also loved to socialize, I decided to become a physician. I have strong family values that have become even more meaningful since I had my own children. Physically and mentally healthy children will more likely be healthy adults.
About my practice
Among the staff at our facility, teamwork and respect for one another and all members is key! My members are considered part of the team and are encouraged to be actively involved in their health maintenance and improvement.
How I thrive
Here are some guidelines I try to follow in my life and would recommend to my members as well—enjoy and appreciate family and friends, exercise regularly and eat healthful meals, try to focus on positive thinking. It’s important to focus on the things you can change, rather than those you cant. Remember, there’s a strong connection between the mind and the body, and it helps to find at least one thing each day to be happy about.
