About me
Hello, I'm Dr. Sobero. My last name is pronounced like the word "sober" with an "o" at the end — a simple way to remember it!
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and review my credentials. It is a privilege to care for members, and I am committed to providing compassionate, personalized, and high-quality medical care. I look forward to earning your trust and helping you achieve better health.
Biography
I grew up in the Garden Grove area before moving to the outskirts of Los Angeles, where I spent most of my life. After completing my training, I chose to return to Orange County to practice medicine because of the many positive memories and experiences I have from my childhood here. It is rewarding to serve the community that has always felt like home.
A little about my background: I attended medical school in Arkansas before returning to California to complete my residency. I am grateful to now be caring for members in the region where my passion for medicine and community first began.
About my practice
I believe in practicing medicine that is based on evidence and current research, and I strive to ensure that the information and recommendations I provide are grounded in up-to-date medical evidence. If I encounter a question that requires further research or if new information becomes available, I will review the latest evidence and follow up at your next visit to provide accurate guidance. Medicine is constantly evolving, and I believe being thorough and honest benefits members.
During each appointment, I make every effort to address all your concerns. If there are more issues than can be thoughtfully covered in a single visit, we'll prioritize your most pressing needs and schedule a follow-up appointment to give the remaining concerns the attention they deserve.
My overall approach to care is to use the least invasive and least burdensome treatment that is appropriate for your condition. Whenever it is safe and supported by evidence, I like to explore lifestyle changes, preventive strategies, and other non-medication options before turning to medications. When medication or other treatments are necessary, I will work with you to find the approach that best fits your health goals and individual needs.
How I thrive
Outside of medicine, I've always enjoyed staying active. Running and soccer have been lifelong passions and have played an important role in my own approach to health and wellness. I also enjoy exploring healthy recipes — especially ones I can share with members to help make nutritious eating both practical and enjoyable.
These days, you'll usually find me at the gym, doing my best to stay strong and keep the arthritis away — at least that's what I like to tell myself! In all seriousness, I believe that maintaining an active lifestyle is one of the best investments we can make in our long-term health.
When I'm not working, I value spending quality time with my family and friends, maintaining the same balance between work, health, and personal life that I encourage members to pursue.
