Where I practice
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my Web page. I am pleased to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice as an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hand surgery. I feel fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente, alongside talented colleagues in a first-class institution dedicated to high-quality health care.
I grew up in Orange County, and completed my medical training at the UC Irvine School of Medicine. I graduated from medical school with Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors and commencement with highest distinction. I completed my orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Southern California Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle. I have authored or co-authored multiple journal articles and book chapters.
About my practice
I was drawn to orthopaedics because of the opportunity to apply cutting-edge technologies to restore function. With expertise in hand, elbow, and microvascular surgery, my practice focuses is on treating disorders such as acute upper extremity trauma, nerve decompression, wrist and elbow arthroscopy, microsurgery, and hand and elbow joint replacements. My philosophy is to empower patients so they can be actively involved in their own care, and to treat them with clinically proven surgical techniques to allow rapid return to their normal lives.
How I thrive
A sound mind and body are essential to healthy living. I stay fit by working out at the gym, and hiking, surfing, and kayaking in the warm California sun. I'm a travel enthusiast, and have toured across the globe. At the end of the day, I relax by reading and playing guitar.
