About me
Hello, and welcome to my Web page! I’d like to take this opportunity to describe myself, my background, and my practice. I feel very privileged to work for Kaiser Permanente, where high-quality member care is the top priority. My colleagues share my enthusiasm, and we’re all devoted to taking care of our members and improving their well-being.
Biography
I’m the product of two wonderful parents who stressed education from the day I was born. While I also participated in competitive sports and community service activities, education was always the main focus of my upbringing. Although I majored in economics in college, the idea of devoting my life to helping those in need drew me into the field of medicine. Having two older siblings who were physicians also allowed me to see what kind of positive difference a health care professional could make. I was impressed by the depth of knowledge and manual dexterity required to practice cardiac anesthesiology and selected it as my career.
About my practice
I treat each member as if he or she were a member of my own family, and strive to provide high-quality, compassionate care. Surgery, particularly cardiac surgery, can be extremely stressful for members, and I try to alleviate that anxiety. I’m meticulous and vigilant in order to ensure that members undergo surgery with as little risk as possible. I believe that open communication with members can help reassure them and demystify anesthesia. Our cardiac anesthesia team is very close-knit, and we work together to help members get through major surgeries every day.
How I thrive
I maintain a well-balanced diet and get plenty of exercise and sleep. I enjoy tennis, bicycling, and basketball. My other favorite pastimes include cooking, traveling, watching football, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to the next few years, when I plan on traveling through Europe, Southeast Asia, and Australia. Having a close relationship with my family also keeps me grounded and happy. I’m very close to my siblings and their spouses. And, of course, my beautiful nieces and nephews keep me young and in good spirits whenever I get to spend time with them. I’m very fortunate to have a rewarding professional life, as well as an extremely satisfying personal life to keep me balanced and happy.
