Where I practice
I'm glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to be a physician. While I was growing up, some of my close relatives practiced family medicine and served the community in the rural Philippines. Like my physician family members, I wanted to spend my life being academically challenged by different situations and encountering new people. All the major decisions in my life have been made with this goal in mind: becoming the best physician I can be! My early interest in science developed into deep admiration for medicine and the important role it plays in people's quality of life. This inspired me to pursue a career in health as a physician performing a socially redeeming service.
About my practice
Practicing medicine gives me opportunities to get to know and help people in meaningful ways, using my medical skills and knowledge, but also listening to what patients say they really need. It is a privilege to help patients understand what they may not grasp, facilitate getting them the appropriate evaluations, and communicate with them and their families. Finally, I believe that patients deserve the best balance of compassion and technology.
How I thrive
I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of health in body, mind, and spirit, and I try to practice it in my own life. My family life is my highest priority outside of work. I stay fit by going to the gym and playing tennis. I read medical literature to stay up-to-date in my field. I also try to set aside time to just relax by getting a massage.
