Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and our members, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I’m an immigrant from Mexico, raised in Baldwin Park, and I always wanted to be a doctor. I live in the area and enjoy everything that California has to offer—from visiting the Bay Area to skiing in our local mountains to taking in the beaches of San Diego. I’m getting to know our local hills due to my involvement with the Boy Scouts—thanks to my son. Whether it’s the beach or the mountains, nothing is better than breathing in that fresh morning air.
About my practice
I chose family medicine because I felt it was a way to address all issues that affect my members. That’s generally my approach to everything—I always strive to take in the big picture before taking action. I also believe that we’re responsible for our own actions, and that we have to want to get better before we can get better.
How I thrive
I firmly believe that exercise can cure all that ails you. It helps with controlling blood pressure, reducing cholesterol, reducing sugar, reducing stress, controlling your weight, reducing back pain, reducing neck pain, and improving your love life. I personally work out five or six times per week by swimming, jogging, cycling, and weight lifting. I have several triathlons, half marathons, and one marathon under my belt. I look forward to participating in more of each in the future. I find it helps me keep up my workout schedule when I have an event to run coming up. It also helps with my newest activity—hiking with my son!
