Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page and thanks for using www.Kaiser Permanente.org. I believe a good relationship with your personal physician is a great asset to staying healthy and I hope this Web page will help you get to know me better.
I'm originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, and am the son of a primary care doctor and the nephew of two other primary care doctors. While growing up, I saw the amazing ability my relatives had to affect people's lives and this inspired me to become a physician. I attended the University of Utah for undergraduate work and medical school, interrupted for a time when I served a mission for my church in southern Taiwan. I briefly taught English in Xian, China. I also attended Taiwan National University in Taipei, Taiwan. These experiences have helped me to speak fluent Mandarin Chinese.
About my practice
I’m a strong believer in preventive medicine and a healthy lifestyle. Being able to work with people and families over time and see the changes that they make to improve their own lives is inspiring. I'm lucky to have a great medical assistant and nurse team leader who helps me take care of members just like you. I'm very excited about our new electronic health record and the increased access it gives you to your doctors.
How I thrive
I exercise regularly—mostly at the gym—but I make sure to leave enough time for my family. My family helps me stay balanced and healthy.
