About me
Hi! Welcome to my Web page. I am a dermatologist at the Fontana Medical Center and am board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. I am a general dermatologist, which means I specialize in all aspects of skin care, including diagnosing and treating skin diseases and helping patients keep their skin healthy.
Biography
I am ethnically Chinese, but I was born in Germany. I immigrated to the United States when I was 6 years old and am an American citizen. I grew up in Southern California, where my family and I essentially lived the American Dream. After high school, I ventured to Northern California, where I attended Stanford University and studied economics and human biology. After graduating college, I spent two years teaching and conducting research on HIV and health policy at Stanford before I realized my passion for helping others and my interest in medicine. Another five years of medical school at Stanford followed. I finally ventured out of California for my internship in internal medicine and residency in dermatology at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. After surviving several cold winters in otherwise beautiful Wisconsin, my wife and I decided to move back to California to be closer to family and friends.
About my practice
I am a general medical dermatologist, which means I advise, diagnose, and treat all aspects of skin disease in both children and adults. I strongly believe that health care is most successful when it is a partnership between my patients and me. Therefore, you’ll notice that I will be spending a lot of time educating and communicating with you, both during the appointment and beyond. Only through teamwork can we most effectively address your skin concerns and prevent skin cancers.
How I thrive
The best way to stay healthy in mind, body, and spirit is to focus on caring for my family and myself. I try to exercise at least 30 minutes every day, which usually includes taking walks or playing tennis, my favorite sport. Other than exercise, I also enjoy karaoke, traveling, computers, movies, television, music, and spending time with friends. My family is composed of my wife, my son, two cats, and a turtle. I try to give all of them my love and attention whenever possible. I strongly believe that the first step to a healthy life is a happy, supportive family. Other than that, I just strive to live every day to its fullest!
