About Me
I was born and raised in Wisconsin and completed my undergraduate education at Carleton College in Minnesota. After graduation, I moved to Malawi in Sub-Saharan Africa, where I worked for an HIV clinic and research institute. This is where I ultimately decided that I wanted to be a family physician. I attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and completed my residency at St. Anthony North Family Medicine here in Westminster, Colorado.
About my practice
As a family physician, I enjoy taking care of the entire family, from newborns to their grandparents. I really enjoy spending time getting to know my patients in a holistic way. I understand that health is not just determined by the medications you take and I typically spend time talking about nutrition, exercise and emotional/psychological wellness, as all these are essential to healthy living. I listen to understand your questions and work with our specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate your care. I have a special interest in women’s health, pediatrics and integrative medicine. I perform most skin procedures, joint injections, IUD insertions and removals, and Nexplanon insertions and removals.
How I thrive
Staying healthy for me is about doing a little bit of self-care each day, whether it be practicing yoga, meditating or going for a run. I also try to spend as much time outdoors as I can. On the weekends, you'll find me hiking, running, biking and skiing with friends, my husband and our young daughter in tow.
