About Me

My father was a surgeon who passed on his love of medicine to me. I wanted to be part of the surgical team, but I also wanted to be a wife and mother. I found the practice of anesthesia to be a perfect fit. I am married to a physician, and have two wonderful, grown children.

About my practice

I trained as a general anesthesiologist, but find myself in the unique position of being able to practice one day a week at Doernbecher Children's Hospital providing anesthesia to Kaiser Permanente children with orthopedic problems. I love this niche. I also enjoy the variety of cases that our Kaiser Permanente Sunnyside Medical Center and surgicenters provide.

How I thrive

I have practiced at Kaiser Permanente Northwest my entire career. I have worked part time, and am so thankful for the opportunity to do so. That has allowed me to enjoy my children and their activities, and pursue my other interests of travel, golf, tennis, and skiing.
