About Me
I was born and raised in Colorado. I love it here! I received my undergraduate and master degree as a family nurse practitioner from Regis University in Denver. I love all the outdoor activities Colorado offers and have not had the desire to ever move away. I am happy to work and raise my family in such a wonderful state. I have always had a love of people and a desire to make a difference. After a personal illness, I was motivated to go into the medical field. There was something about the vulnerability of being a patient and the vital importance of the medical team that sparked a thirst deep inside.
About my practice
As a nurse, I used to work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This is where I developed my love of the family, especially new moms and their precious babies. I started my current role, as a nurse practitioner with Kaiser Permanente in 2012. It is the perfect blend of caring for new families as they embark on possibly, the most exciting yet scary journey of their lives. I thrive to really listen to my patient’s needs and be empathetic to their concerns. Becoming an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) has given me the extra knowledge to provide excellent and appropriate care to the couplets I care for that are breastfeeding.
How I thrive
As a mom of two young kids, I work hard to balance family, work, and fun. My husband and I love to travel, exploring new places. We try to share our love of traveling with our kids. I love seeing the world through the eyes of my kids. I strive to maintain my health by staying active. I like to hike and participate in most any outdoor activity.
