About Me
Hello, my name is Loan (pronounced Lo-an). Welcome to my Kaiser Permanente Web page, where I will share some information about myself so you can get to know me.
Biography
I was born in Vietnam and immigrated to America when I was a young child. I am the eldest child in my family and have 2 younger siblings. I grew up in San Diego and also went to college there. My fascination with and appreciation for eyesight led me to choose a career where I can help people maintain healthy vision. During my high school and college years, I worked as an optometrist assistant, optician, and contact lens fitter.
About my practice
I received my bachelor of science degree in biochemistry/biology from UC San Diego. I went on to obtain my doctorate of optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry. I currently practice primary eye care, red eye exams, and specialty contact lens fitting, and have been with Kaiser Permanente Vision Essentials group since 2011. I also speak Vietnamese and a little bit of Spanish.
How I thrive
To stay healthy, I like to ride my bicycle, go on walks with my dog, and do yoga to relax. My hobbies also include sewing, cooking, and traveling.
