About Me
I am pleased to offer this Web page as a way to introduce myself to you. I am a member of the Psychiatry Department and am rapidly approaching 30 years with Kaiser Permanente. My office practice is based at Santa Clarita Medical Offices, as well as part time at the Lancaster/Antelope Valley Medical Offices.
Biography
I was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. I graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1975 with a bachelor's degree cum laude in biology. I started my medical education at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, where I was also able to become fairly fluent in Spanish. I completed my medical education at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York and at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1985.
About my practice
I work in a group practice with other mental health providers, such as social workers and psychologists, caring for patients’ mental health. I specialize in the diagnosis of mental disorders, as well as in psychopharmacotherapy (which involves the use of psychiatric medications to treat different types of mental disorders).
How I thrive
I believe the wellness of a person is not simply the absence of illness, but instead should be a state of complete physical, mental, and social wellness. It's that kind of total care that I strive for myself, as well as for my patients.
