About Me
I grew up on a dairy farm in Kansas. I worked as a cook and a nurse aid before going to college. I enjoy the medical profession because I’m fascinated with biology and enjoy helping people be healthy. Before returning to school to become a nurse practitioner, I practiced as a dietitian.
About my practice
I chose wound care because it enables me to combine my education in nutrition with my current practice as a nurse practitioner. I enjoy working with people to develop a plan for improving their health. I work as a team with our specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate my patients’ care. Electronic medical records help me to see the big picture of a patient’s health, so I can make good use of our time together and answer my patient’s questions.
How I thrive
I thrive by walking daily. In my spare time, you can find me reading (especially historical fiction) and cooking. Additionally, I also enjoy traveling.
