About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am delighted to have worked at Kaiser Permanente for over 25 years. I am a board-certified ob-gyn physician and board-certified female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgeon. I’m also the assistant chief of service, which means I help supervise the physicians who are doing their residency training.

Biography

I am bilingual (English and Spanish). I work hard to be the best doctor I can. In the same way, I work hard to be the best father and husband I can. Staying healthy and in shape are also important to me. Being healthy helps me be a positive influence on my patients and my family.

About my practice

I enjoy being involved in all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology. In gynecology, I have pursued an emphasis in pelvic reconstruction and urogynecology, which involves the diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence and female pelvic floor disorders. My preferred surgical approach is minimally invasive surgery (such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy). I enjoy obstetrics because I get to participate in one of the most precious moments in a woman’s life: bringing a child into this world.

How I thrive

I believe life is about balance. It is important to leave time for yourself to decompress and enjoy the things you love. I enjoy long-distance running (I try to run a half marathon every year), cycling, skiing, and scuba diving. Other favorite pastimes include reading, opera, Sudoku, and watching sports.
