About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am grateful to have the opportunity to introduce myself as one of the Ob/ Gyn physicians at Kaiser Permanente.

Biography

I always knew I wanted to be a doctor. In medical school, I developed a particular interest in women's health issues. I have been involved in the AIDS education project. I have also been a doula, and have been involved in organizing an elective course for medical students on pregnancy and domestic violence. As natives of San Diego, my husband and I are excited to be back in our community where we are near our family and friends.

About my practice

Prior to medical school, I worked as a medical assistant in a busy family practice setting. One of the most rewarding aspects of that job was to be involved in patient education. When I decided to become a doctor, I dreamed of working in a place where patient empowerment and education was a priority. In my practice, I encourage patients to be proactive in managing their health and taking advantage of the many educational resources Kaiser Permanente has to offer.

How I thrive

Like so many working moms, I struggle with balancing my professional and personal life. To stay well, I make family time a priority. We enjoy walks to the park, going to Sea World, and making art projects at home. If I can find a few minutes to be alone, I enjoy working on photo albums and reading.
