About Me
I grew up on a farm in the Midwest and spent several years working in broadcasting before entering the field of medicine. I found that communication is key in broadcasting and even more vital in medicine. In 2010, my family and I moved to Oregon for residency training, and we fell in love with Oregon pretty quickly. I started working at Kaiser Permanente in 2014, and I am excited to be part of a health care organization that provides such a wide range of quality services to members. It is a very special place to work.
About my practice
My work in psychiatry allows me to get to know a person's story and help them find a way to maximize their health and enjoyment in life. I work as a psychiatrist at Brookside Center at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center, a residential mental health and addictions treatment center, where I have the chance to help people experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions. I also have the opportunity to help Kaiser Permanente members as a consult psychiatrist at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center and Kaiser Westside Medical Center.
How I thrive
I enjoy playing music (guitar, bass, drums) and working in the yard and around the house. Helping educate the public on mental health issues is another passion of mine. When we have free time, my family and I love exploring the Northwest.
